Small mall with two major chain stores, many small businesses and a really nice catering service called Heavenly Breads.
The stores in the mall are great. The mall itself could use a little bit of updating.
Most of the spaces in the mall are vacant. Like most malls in the past couple decades, it's barely hanging on or at least it seems that way. I worked at a place in this mall probably 10 years ago and at that time the rent was outrageous. Don't know if it still is but it's practically empty so my guess is yes. One would think they'd set the rent at a more reasonable price and at least get some revenue for all of the empty spaces there. Most any mall that expects to survive in the modern era of ecommerce needs to get creative and truly innovative. They need to take advantage of the aspects of having a space as large as that offers and they normally do not. They need to think outside of the box and find other ways to draw decent sized crowds almost every day because right now there's not much reason for a lot of folks to go there.
The Marshalltown Mall, has decreased tremendously, which it is sad, there was so many nice stores and now the main stores are Penney's and Younker's. There are other stores that interest many people, they are in different parts of the Mall. There are certain items I buy at Younker's when needed. Oh, I forgot Christopher Banks lovely store, for all sizes, and an excellent line of clothes. It is only a half hour away, instead of driving to Des Monies and Iowa City.
They had amazing service and the one I am not able I am not going to make the payment on any of my messages are you doing tonight for dinner if that's what you to be happy and healthy to you and the one I sent is the one who will have your water bottle in my camera not able.
