The best authentic mexican restaurant in Marshalltown hands down. Great prices for dishes and great customer service
Always good. The last time, i got shrimp and there were lots of pieces of shell in it though. Ick. But i told the server, she was nice about it, said she would mention to the cooks to maybe clean it better. Still, thats the only negative thing i have to say about El Portal.
Staff is always professional food is excellent and the beer is always very cold

Terrible, waitress was fine but food came out at different times, quality was not as good as in the past. Mine was so screwed up I finally got it to go.
